Mexican logistics startup Skydropx acquired Brazilian logistics startup Frenet for $5.2M from Brazilian logistics company Sequoia.
Skydropx centralizes shipping management from different carriers. Skydropx connects companies to carrier options and pick-up spots and manages the whole shipping journey, offering real-time tracking, notifications automatization, and return handling.
Frenet is a platform focused on larger companies in Brazil that allows customers to quote freight costs from multiple carriers and manage freights from different carriers in a single platform.
“We want to bring Skydropx’s features for small and medium-sized sellers in Mexico to Brazil, and the features for large clients in Brazil to Mexico,” said Tavo Zambrano, Skydropx co-founder and CEO.
Founded in 2014, Skydropx currently operates in Mexico and Colombia and has raised $27M to date. Frenet was founded in 2015 and has served over 45K e-commerces.
