Visma acquires Conta Azul to expand across Brazil

Visma, a Norwegian business software company, acquired Brazilian fintech Conta Azul. The deal is pending approval from Brazil’s Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica (CADE) and other regulatory institutions.

Although the companies did not disclose the transaction value, sources estimate it at around $330M.

Conta Azul is a cloud-based ERP platform that serves about 100,000 small businesses in Brazil. Its platform helps manage cash flow, invoices, inventory, and budgets. It also provides tools for accounting firms to handle tax compliance and financial reviews.

Visma is one of Europe’s largest software providers, offering digital solutions for accounting, payroll, and other business operations. In 2024, Visma reported €2.8B in revenue and serves over 2.1 million customers with a team of 16,400 employees.

The acquisition marks Visma’s entry into the Brazilian market and follows the acquisitions of Rindegastos and Lara AI in May 2025.
