Brazilian logistics company Asia Shipping acquired Brazilian logistics startup Hórus Logística. This is Asia Shipping’s second acquisition of 2024, the first one being AI-powered and comex-focused Dati in April.
With a presence in 12 countries, Asia Shipping offers freight forwarding, customs clearance, and multimodal transportation solutions. Hórus Logística provides storage, cross-docking services, and logistics management software.
With the acquisition, Asia Shipping aims to expand internationally and integrate new products to provide end-to-end logistic services, offering storage, cross-docking, and software like RFID (tracking), WMS (warehouse management), and Power BI (business intelligence).
“In addition to integrating various key modes of transportation for imports and exports—bridging suppliers, shipping lines, ports, and carriers—we will now also operate as a major distribution center with over 12K square meters of space. We will be the first company in Brazil to serve the industry’s supply chain from start to finish,” Alexandre Pimenta, Asia Shipping’s CEO.
