Bia, a Colombian energy startup, raised $16.5M in a Series A round led by Kaszek with the participation of Nazca, Ewa Capital, and WildSur.
“We chose to join Bia for two fundamental reasons: it has solid growth and a business model that places the user at the center and attracts thousands of companies that want to improve their relationship with energy,” said Nicolas Berman, partner at Kaszek.
The company provides a smart meter with a platform that allows analysis of energy consumption behavior to reduce costs and will use the funds for hiring and implementing machine learning across the company.
