Brazilian fintech Celcoin received regulatory approval to acquire Via Capital SCD, according to a notice published in Brazil’s Federal Official Gazette.
Celcoin provides financial infrastructure and technology solutions and has expanded its credit operations in recent years. Via Capital operates as a licensed direct credit company (Sociedade de Crédito Direto), giving Celcoin a regulated entity to strengthen its credit vertical.
Along with approving the transaction, Brazil’s Central Bank authorized an increase in Via Capital’s capital from $300K to $2.3M.
The deal marks Celcoin’s seventh acquisition since 2022 and its fourth in the credit market. TCelcoin now offers solutions across the credit lifecycle, including onboarding, anti-fraud, loan simulation, issuance of instruments such as Bank Credit Notes (CCBs) and commercial notes, digital signatures, asset assignment and endorsement, portfolio management, and collections.
