Chromo Invest leads investment in Fitpass

LatAm ListFitpass, a Mexican fitness studio platform raised an undisclosed round from Chromo Invest.

Fitpass allows its users to have unlimited access to some of the best fitness studios in Mexico, following the model pioneered by ClassPass in the US. The platform already operates in ten Mexican cities and will further expand throughout Latin America with this investment.

“We are very excited to be sharing this news along with our plans for expansion. Without a doubt, this would not have been possible without the constant support from all of our allies: fitpass team, studios, gyms, users, ambassadors, and brands,” said Liza Schvartzman and Karen González, Fitpass’ founders.

“Our goal at Chromo is to invest in disruptive models that are based on technology and that have the potential to expand globally, this is exactly what we found with Fitpass,” said Celso Portasio, Chromo Invest’s General Director.

Deborah Dana, a Partner at Soldiers Field, which previously invested in Fitpass commented,

“At Soldiers Field we are very excited for this transaction and everything it represents in Mexico’s private capital world. Fitpass is not just the success story of a Mexican startup, it’s also the first private capital transactions take place where a female team raises a round of this magnitude.”

The platform currently offers more than 200,000 classes in over 1,200 studios and gyms.
