Cifrato raises over $1M to automate accounting processes with AI

Cifrato, a Colombian startup that automates accounting workflows with AI, raised over $1M in a seed round backed by Y Combinator, Fen Ventures, Decelera Ventures, and Kuiper.

Cifrato builds AI agents that replace manual accounting tasks still common among firms. Its platform connects directly to Colombia’s tax authority (DIAN), processes invoices, applies taxes, and manages inventory in real time. Cifrato reports an accuracy rate of 98.7%.

Cifrato will use the funds to strengthen its operations in Colombia, expand integrations with ERP and POS systems, and develop an AI-powered bank reconciliation module. Cifrato also plans to scale its infrastructure and improve its agent-based architecture.

Founded by Juan Pisco and Yerson Cacua, Cifrato is part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 batch.
