Puerto Rican fintech Evertec acquired Brazilian fintech Dimensa for $181M. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, including CADE. This is Evertec’s fourth acquisition in Brazil.
Dimensa offers financial institutions software to run day-to-day operations such as managing accounts and transactions, and administering investment funds. Evertec provides payment processing and financial technology infrastructure for banks, merchants, and financial institutions.
The deal expands Evertec’s product suite to include risk and insurance software, while allowing Dimensa to expand in Latin America.
“This acquisition strengthens our long-term growth strategy in Brazil,” said Evertec’s Brazil Group Head Claudio Prado.
Dimensa spun out in 2021 from TOTVS in 2021 in a joint venture with B3. Dimensa serves over 15K clients in Brazil.
