Freshmart, the online supermarket acquired by Jüsto in 2021, aims to consolidate its presence in Peru by launching its brands and a new store format.
“We see an opportunity in Peru to replicate what we have in Mexico and Brazil: an aggressive strategy for brand penetration starting early next year.” explained Ricardo Weder, CEO of Jüsto.
In Mexico, around 12% of Jüsto’s sales come from its private-label products.
Freshmart will also open more physical stores in Peru. The company opened its first supermarket in Lima last year and plans to test a new format, where they will sell weekly baskets of products.
