Hotmart, a Brazilian platform that allows creators to sell digital products, acquired Brazilian generative AI startup Reshape for an undisclosed amount. Hotmart was previously Reshape’s client and seed investor.
The acquisition aims to increase the addressable market for creators by offering them transcription and translation of their videos. Hotmart also plans to use Reshape’s technology for training its own AI models.
“Hotmart is beta-testing a product called Hotmart Tutor, which comprehensively understands content posted by creators and then uses that learning to interact with clients. However, for it to function well, the transcription of videos has to be of excellent quality,” said João Pedro Resende, Co-Founder and CEO of Hotmart
Founded in 2018, Reshape is a web platform that converts audio and video inputs to text with over 95% accuracy.
