Buk, a Chilean HR management platform, raised a $50M Series A led by Greenoaks. SoftBank Group and a group of unicorn founders also participated in the round.
The round is one of the largest Series A raised by a Latin American startup to date. It also brings Buk’s valuation to $417M, making it the third most-valuable startup in Chile after Cornershop and NotCo.
Buk is a cloud-based platform for Human Resources management. The platform is on a mission to “build a happier workplace” with software that enables companies to streamline their salary payments, professional development, performance evaluation, recruitment processes, and more.
In the past year Buk has seen a huge customer uptake, increasing its revenue in September by 151% compared to last year.
The platform now has more than 4,000 clients across Latin America and manages the payroll for over 400,000 employees. With the new funding, Buk plans to accelerate growth in Mexico and consolidate its presence in Colombia and Peru.
