Impacta VC, a venture capital fund dedicated to supporting socially driven companies, took the lead in Airbag‘s latest funding round with a $100K investment. Surpassing its initial target of $500K, the round raised a total of $700K.
With the funds, Impacta VC aims to assist the Mexican insurtech in its mission to help companies reduce traffic accidents by developing driver-focused software, strengthening operational control, and promoting safe driving practices.
“Being a part of Impacta is key in driving Airbag’s growth and establishing the company as the top choice for driver safety solutions. It validates both our impact and business model, enabling us to expand our reach across Latin America” said Adrián Trucios, Airbag’s Co-founder and CEO.
Impacta VC chose Airbag from a pool of 54 Latin American startups that participated in its IFSP 2022 capital-raising program.
