Incode, a Mexican AI identity-verification fintech, acquired AuthenticID to strengthen its digital-identity platform. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Incode builds an AI identity platform for onboarding and authentication, featuring ID document capture, face biometrics, and fraud checks. AuthenticID provides document and biometric verification, as well as workflow orchestration, used by banks and telecoms in North America and Latin America. Together, the companies processed over 4 billion identity verifications in 2024.
The deal addresses rising threats from deepfakes and agentic AI by combining Incode’s real-time fraud detection with AuthenticID’s deployments across regulated industries. The digital-identity market is projected to surpass $116B by 2027.
