Luca raises $8M Series A 

Luca, a Mexican AI-powered learning platform, raised an $8M Series A round led by 6 Degrees Capital. Explorer, Heartcore Capital, and Shilling VC also participated in the round. As part of the round, Luca added Juan Romero and Vasco Pedro to its board.

Founded in 2022, Luca is an EdTech company focused on K–12 education in Mexico. The platform combines digital and printed materials aligned with Mexico’s New Educational Model and uses artificial intelligence to personalize learning while reducing administrative work for schools.

With the funds, Luca plans to strengthen its position in Mexico and become the country’s leading K–12 education provider within five years. Luca also plans to expand into other Latin American markets and invest in new AI-based personalized learning products.

Luca currently serves more than 30,000 active students across Mexican schools. According to company data, the platform has reduced teachers’ academic management time by 28% and improved student learning outcomes by 20%.
