Colombian startup Maqui, a platform focused on helping fashion companies track garment production, raised 1.5M in a pre-seed round.
Maqui will use the funds to improve the software, add features, and expand the sales team to attract customers, including businesses that produce over 100,000 textile units per month. Maqui, present in Colombia and Mexico, manages the traceability of more than 200 million garments a year.
“Sustainability should not simply be a trend, but a commitment that requires investment by companies to implement green technologies. That is why Maqui seeks to transform the relationship between brands and suppliers, making both parties more efficient”, said Maqui’s co-founder Melina Cruz.
