Meddi raises $7.8M from GNP Seguros

Meddi, a Guadalajara-based digital health platform, raised $7.8M from GNP Seguros and its subsidiary Médica Móvil. The investment gives GNP a stake in the company as part of a strategy to combine physical care with digital tools for preventing chronic diseases.

Meddi connects users with more than 58 hospitals, 5,000 specialists, and 300 laboratories across Mexico, offering immediate access to health services through mobile devices.

The partnership positions Meddi at the center of a new preventive care model. The insurer, led by CEO Jesús Martínez Castellanos, plans to use Meddi’s network and technology to anticipate health risks, promote healthier habits through data, and reduce the financial impact of chronic conditions on its policyholders.
