Mercado Pago, the digital bank of Mercado Libre, acquired 100% of Nikos DTVM, an investment distribution platform. The value of the transaction was not disclosed and remains subject to approval by the Central Bank of Brazil. As part of the deal, the Nikos team will join Mercado Pago in an acqui-hire.
Nikos DTVM provides investment infrastructure through an “Investment as a Service” model. Nikos DTVM has partnered with Mercado Pago since 2022.
The acquisition will accelerate the distribution of investment products and enhance operational flexibility in the medium to long term.
Mercado Pago has over 68 million active users in Latin America. In Q2 2025, the digital banking unit represented 43.5% of Mercado Libre’s total revenue.
