Mexican startups Plerk and Minu announced this week that they are merging. As a result of the merger, Minu will integrate Plerk’s digital prepaid employee benefits card into its services, further bolstering its employee benefits platform.

Minu is an employee service platform that businesses use to offer their workers an array of benefits, such as health services, insurance assistance, financial education, and access to earned salary before payday. Plerk is changing the way companies manage their employee’s perks, offering visa prepaid cards to workers and online reporting and management tools to businesses.

Minu has over 350 B2B clients, including Grupo Modelo, Rappi, and Tecnológico de Monterrey. In 2022 Minu grew 5x in revenue and recently announced a new 30M financing round composed by a 20M debt line from Accial Capital and a 10M bridge round led by Coppel Capital, Besant Capital, and Enea Capital.
