Brazilian neobank NG.Cash acquired BizCapital’s credit license (Sociedade de Crédito Direto – SCD). The Central Bank approved the deal this year, finalizing the process that began in 2023. Following approval, the company now operates as NG.Cash Sociedade de Crédito Direto S.A.
Founded in 2018 as Neagle Bank and rebranded in 2021, NG.Cash targets Gen Z users. Its platform offers a digital account, prepaid credit card, consortia for phones, motorcycles, and games, as well as insurance, fixed-income investments, and financial education content.
With the SCD license, NG.Cash can issue loans with its own capital. The move strengthens its digital credit strategy, which combines data, technology, and artificial intelligence to deliver personalized services.
NG.Cash currently serves more than 7 million users in Brazil and has raised over $56M in funding. Earlier this year, NG.Cash closed a Series B round to expand its credit portfolio.
