LatamList – Parallel18, a Puerto Rican accelerator program, announced the selection of 42 startups for the third cohort of its pre-seed program, Pre18. Of these 42 companies, 45% are led by a female entrepreneur.
Pre18 aims to support early-stage Puerto Rican startups looking to launch through its 12-week program. The program offers both financing and business education resources so that entrepreneurs can fully dedicate themselves to their startup.
The successful startups will receive professional mentoring, access to the commercial ecosystem, and continued support from high-level entrepreneurs. They will also receive a $20K grant.
“Pre18 has always sought to support entrepreneurs who are using innovation as a means of change to resolve local problems, and with a global reach,” said Eduardo Padial, Operations Director of Parallel18.
The selected companies operate in a range of industries, from biotechs to digital commerce.
