Brazilian startup Plinq raised $254K in its first funding round, led by Spectra Investments. Angel investors included Lovable cofounder and CEO Anton Osika, Ella Wealth cofounder Liana Selles, Doji founder and CEO Fernando Montero, and former P&G IT director José Gerardo Carrero.
Founded in 2025 by Sabrine Matos, Plinq helps women check the criminal and legal records of potential romantic partners. The platform searches public court records and official gazettes using a person’s name and phone number.
Plinq will use the funds to launch its mobile app in early September and expand its 10-person team. Plinq will also shift from individual searches to a subscription model and plans to generate additional revenue through advertising and government contracts.
Plinq has more than 60,000 users who have conducted nearly 85,000 searches since its web platform launched in June 2025.
