Pronus, the Colombian investment bank, partnered with the mobile banking correspondent, Págame, to provide entrepreneurs access to various services and products via mobile phones, services traditionally exclusive to physical stores.
Págame’s offerings align with Pronus’s need for cash networks in Colombia, where cash payments are still common.
In 2022, Colombia had 477,500 banking correspondents, including 644 digital and 3,195 mobile correspondents. Mobile channels grew more than tenfold, while digital channels tripled compared to 2021.
