Brazilian game developer and publisher, QUByte Interactive, received an undisclosed amount of its first investment from Bossanova Investimentos.
QUByte is a leading independent game publisher in Latin America, having published over 100 games on platforms like Playstation, Xbox, Switch, PC, and mobile.
QUByte will use these funds to improve its marketing and production infrastructure and capabilities for the publisher and studio.
“The games market in Brazil is booming, and compared to the traditional startup market, it is many years behind. This presents a great investment opportunity, given that the growth potential is still very high,” said Ricardo Fernandes, lead investor of Bossa Game Labs.
QUByte began operations in 2009, and the following year it released its debut game, High Tech Racing (HTR ), which garnered over 10 million downloads. However, in 2016, the company shifted its focus toward creating and publishing games for consoles and PCs.
