Colombian fintech Quipu raised $1.5M from Addem Capital.

Quipu is a lending company aiming to tackle the lack of financing for micro and small businesses, evaluating the customer’s profitability rather than its credit history and providing unsecured working capital loans to customers who can repay in 7 to 12 months.

Quipo will use the funds to enhance its platform, provide more loans, and develop new distribution channels to reach more customers. Quipu aims to reach $10M in loans in 2026.

Quipu has partnered with Claro Pay, allowing Claro Pay’s customers to request loans within Claro’s app, and with Nequi, allowing Nequi’s customers to repay the loans using direct debit from the Nequi wallet.

Founded in 2019, Quipu lent over $3M to more than 15K businesses.
