MedPass, a Brazilian healthtech, announced that Sérgio Saraiva Pontes, the former CEO of Rappi, is to join the company as the Chairman of the Operations Committee.
MedPass uses intelligent data to promote predictive healthcare and provide individual healthcare plans. Patients can access appointments, medical histories, and plans via the online database in a centralized and efficient system.
The platform also offers additional services such as mental health and women’s wellbeing to ensure a 360 approach to healthcare. It also allows patients to repeatedly see the same healthcare personnel to provide a more personalized experience for customers.
Pontes has founded and managed multiple startups across his career. Rappi, often described as the “super app” of Latin America, is his most notable company.
“With his exceptional background, Sergio knows how to provide the necessary leadership when tackling pivotal business and operational issues,” said Michael Luzich, co-founder of MedPass.
The company states that Pontes’ move to the board reflects the fast emergence and significant international potential of MedPass.
