Argentine startup ReForest Latam, which specializes in large-scale ecosystem restoration, raised an oversubscribed $1M pre-seed round led by iThink VC. Innventure AgriFood Tech, Antom, BP Soluciones Eléctricas Confiables, Amauta Inversiones Financieras, and several angel investors also participated.
ReForest Latam integrates biotechnology, drones, and artificial intelligence to optimize reforestation. Its proprietary iSeeds, capsules containing native seeds treated with microorganisms, enhance germination and promote strong tree growth, even in harsh environments. The company’s AI-driven ecosystem analysis platform evaluates land conditions to determine the most suitable species for each site.
Operating in Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil, with 14 ongoing projects, ReForest Latam will use the funds to advance its technology from TRL6 to TRL9 and continue developing its biotechnological seed capsules.
