Mexican fleet management startup Ruedata raised $2M in a seed round led by Barn Investimentos. New Ventures Capital, Fondation Botnar, Avalancha Ventures, Venture Do, Helene Ventures, Orca Climate Fund, Flecha Amarilla Ventures, Grupo Huerpel, and Enlaces also participated in the round.
Ruedata will use the funds to expand its team and to develop a marketplace that facilitates tire purchases, connecting fleet managers to vehicle repair and tire shops.
“We will put the funds towards growth in multiple countries. We want to create an ecosystem of solutions that will not only reduce costs to our clients, but also reduce carbon footprint,” said Sebastian Baquero, Ruedata’s Co-Founder and CEO.
Ruedata operates a SaaS platform that provides fleet managers with insights to optimize tire consumption and reduce carbon footprint of vehicles such as cargo trucks and buses.
Founded in 2017, Ruedata operates in Latin America and in the US, with 80% of its revenue coming from Mexico and Brazil.
