Brazilian startup Segura raised $8M in a seed round co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Kaszek. Big_Bets and angel investors, including Assaf Wand and executives from Brex and NG Cash, also participated in the round.
Segura provides a platform that streamlines insurance operations across multiple carriers. Brokers can manage quotes, policies, renewals, submissions, and billing in one place. Its core product, Helena, is an AI assistant that helps brokers interpret policy data, explain clauses, guide renewals, and compare products. The platform also integrates Brazil’s SUSEP regulatory framework.
Segura will use the funds to hire engineers, expand integrations with insurers, and grow its network across Latin America.
Founded in 2024 by Luis Alberto Nogueira, Lucca Buffara, and Pedro Nobrega, Segura already serves 3,000 brokerage firms, signaling early traction.
