Brazilian mobility service provider Sem Parar acquired the Gringo superapp for an undisclosed amount. The transaction follows Gringo’s $12.4M Series C extension in September 2024.
Gringo’s app enables drivers to manage various tasks in one place, including paying fines, vehicle taxes, and licensing fees, checking their driving records, and arranging insurance and loans.
Gringo will join Sem Parar’s mobility ecosystem, which includes toll tags, fuel price comparisons, and vehicle tax payment plans. The deal is subject to regulatory approval, and aligns with Sem Parar’s strategy to broaden its offerings for Brazilian drivers.
Founded in 2019, Gringo serves over 20M registered users and has processed more than $165M in transactions.
