Taxflow raises $750K pre-seed to build AI-powered accountants

San Francisco-based fintech Taxflow raised $750K in a pre-seed round with participation from Platanus Ventures, BFF, and prominent angel investors including Brian Requarth of Latitud and Brian York.

Taxflow uses AI to simplify tax filing for accounting firms, automating tasks like data collection and transaction categorization to streamline workflows and reduce complexity.

Taxflow will use the funds to expand its team, develop its technology, and acquire clients for the 2024 tax year.

“US tax and accounting services are a $144B industry, yet most firms rely on manual processes and legacy software. With 75% of accountants nearing retirement, AI isn’t just a convenience—it’s a necessity,” said Felipe Salinas, co-founder and CEO of Taxflow.

Founded in 2024, Taxflow is led by Colombian entrepreneurs Felipe Salinas and Julián Arango.
