Tether invests $20M in Ualá

Tether invested $20M in Argentine digital bank Ualá as part of its $197M funding round announced in March. The investment values Ualá at $3.2B.

Founded in 2017, Ualá provides digital banking, payments, savings, investment, and lending services across Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia.

Ualá will use the funding to accelerate growth and expand its financial ecosystem across its three markets, with a particular focus on Mexico.

Ualá serves 11 million customers across Latin America.
