LatAm List – Uber recently announced its plans to launch payment platform Uber Pay in Brazil. The platform will allow its users to make payments, transfers, and deposits, among other services such as payments via QR code.
In Brazil, Uber Pay will work in partnership with Ebanx, a payments processing platform and Brazil’s newest unicorn. Ebanx already processes payments for Spotify, Cambly, AirBnB, and AliExpress.
Uber Pay’s official launch will take place in Money20/20, a payments, fintech, and financial services industry event at the end of October 2019 in Las Vegas, United States.
Mexico and India are also other markets that Uber is looking into launching the payments platform.
