Veikul, a Mexican startup focused on digital fleet management and logistics optimization, acquired Dropin, a platform that automates last-mile delivery. This deal strengthens Veikul’s technological capabilities and improves its logistics operations.
This acquisition will allow Veikul to scale its technology and improve operational efficiency, and came shortly after Veikul raised $3M in a seed funding round in a mix of equity and debt to support its growth and technological innovation.
“With this move, Veikul will strengthen its technological and operational capacity, while Dropin will leverage our scale and reach to expand its services. Customers of both platforms will benefit from an enhanced experience, with faster, safer, and more personalized services,” explained Sebastián Peña Laris, CEO of Veikul.
Veikul provides logistics services with real-time insights and route optimization. Dropin, founded by Jorge Abdo in Monterrey in 2021, offers services like real-time tracking, express deliveries, and domestic and international shipping. By integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning, Dropin optimizes routes and enhances logistics operations, including cash-on-delivery services.
