Vopero raised a $4M round led by Cencosud Ventures, a Chilean venture capital firm, to start operations in Chile.

Vopero is a platform that allows users to buy and sell second-hand clothing. In Mexico, Vopero opened its first physical store with an automatic check-out.

“Cencosud is a global company, and we see a significant opportunity for Vopero in other countries where we operate, ” said Jose Antonio Pascual, Cencosud Ventures’ Head

Vopero, founded in 2020 by Alejandro Esperanza, handles over a million clothing items annually and has a presence in Uruguay and Mexico.

In a previous funding round, Vopero raised $6M from investors such as AXO, PedidosYa, Jokr, and Delivery Hero founders.

Vopero’s Chilean expansion is scheduled for December, starting at París in Alto Las Condes and Parque Arauco.
