LatAm List – Workana, the Argentinian freelancer platform, has expanded into Brazil with the opening of new offices in São Paulo, led by Daniel Schwebel, the previous head of LinkedIn Brazil.
Workana helps companies contract freelancers across Latin America, as well as offering services to build a personal brand, such as web design and access to legal and financial advice.
Daniel Schwebel will lead the São Paulo offices, bringing networking expertise which will further the development of Workana.
Brazil is the largest market for Workana, with 45% of the two million registered freelancers in this region, the majority of whom are translators, writers, and designers.
Workana has received R$39.5M (US$9.65M) in investments and is now seeking to attract more companies into its network.
