Brazilian healthtechs Zitrus and Unio merged to create Nexdom. Both Zitrus and Unio are part of Sistema Unimed, an insurance network made up of independent networks of doctors and hospitals.
Nexdom is a product of Sinergia Unimed ERP, a project that aims to create a unified solution to centralize management softwares and health insurance processes. The outcome of the project was the merger of the two healthtechs.
“This merger came from the idea of uniting the best existing solutions in one single project with the objective of making health insurance firms focus on customer service while Nexdom focuses on tech,” said Daniel Torres, Nexdom’s CEO.
Nexdom’s services include health plan management, health insurance authorization, reimbursement solutions, customer relationship management, and business intelligence tools.
Launched in October 2024, Nexdom starts with an annual revenue of $12.5M and an estimated valuation of $44.5M. Nexdom aims to serve 80% of Sistema Unimed’s network members within 3 years and, after that, expand to other customers.
