Apex Partners leads a $478.1K investment in Brazilian edtech Luma

LatAm List – US-based venture capital firm Apex Partners recently led an investment of R$2M (US$478.1K) in the Brazilian edtech startup Luma.

Luma is an online education platform designed to ‘individualize’ the teaching process by providing one-to-one online classes for students, as well as forums, preparations for English exams, and other teaching resources.

“Luma’s vision is to revolutionize education through technology and student-focused learning,” explains Murilo Carvalho, CEO of Luma.

Luma will use the investment to develop the company and expand into more cities in Brazil, such as Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, and Sao Paulo.
