Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a global initiative for young people to develop technological computing skills in the cloud, such as cyber security, data protection, and software development.
The platform is currently used in more than 2M institutions across 200 countries worldwide, and will now be available to students in Latin America with the launch of a Spanish version.
“AWS Educate is a global initiative designed to facilitate learning about cloud technologies and prepare students for future jobs,” explains Abby Daniell, Public Sector Business Development Manager for AWS Latin America.
The launch took place at an event coordinated by the Jalisco Institute of Information Technology (IJALTI) and the Jalisco Secretariat of Education, with 120 higher education representatives in attendance.
Alejandro Luthe Ríos, deputy secretary of Higher Middle Education of the Ministry of Education Jalisco, commented that AWS was an invaluable tool for combatting the need for young people to develop their technological skills in order to be able to work in the industry.
