Ontop, a remote recruiter platform, raised a $20M Series A funding round led by Tiger Global and Point72. SoftBankâs SB Opportunity Fund also participated in the round.
Ontop helps companies streamline their international hiring and payments processes. The startup manages contracts, documents, taxes, regulatory compliance, and payments through its automated platform.Â
The startup recently took part in the Y Combinator Winter 21 cohort and is rapidly becoming recognized as the âfuture of workâ solution as more people shift to remote work.
âWe couldnât resist the opportunity of just jumping in and trying to solve one specific, huge pain point – cross-border payments and cross-border contracts,â said Julian Torres, co-founder of the company.
Ontop is used in more than 67 countries and has seen a 40% client and revenue growth month over month.
âThe shift to decentralized, global work has created a global need for flexible organizational tools and capabilities,â said Shu Nyatta from SoftBank. âOntop is a solution that makes it easier to build an international workforce while putting the employee first and streamlining hiring and payments for the company.â
Ontop now plans to grow its team with new hires and strengthen its global payments network. The platform eventually plans to launch more fintech products to aid cross-border contracting.
