Acesso Digital raises $108M Series B

LatamListAcesso Digital, a Brazilian digital identity SaaS startup, raised a $108M Series B funding round led by General Atlantic and SoftBank‘s Latin America Innovation Fund. The investment adds to a previous $7.4M from e.Brick Ventures in January 2020 as part of the Series B.

Acesso Digital provides more than 400 clients with ID technology such as facial recognition, remote hiring, and electronic signatures. With the increased need for digital technology following the global pandemic, Acesso Digital doubled the volume of transactions since March.

“The value of digitally-native, flexible solutions has only increased as companies continue to adapt to the digital era,” said Diego Martins, Acesso Digital’s Founder and CEO.

Acesso Digital recently acquired Meerkat, computer vision startup, in August 2020. The startup will explore further acquisitions following the funding round. Acesso digital also plans to continue scaling the business, builds its client base, and develop new products and services.

“We are excited to continue scaling the business, including increasing our client base and broadening our product and service offerings. We also look forward to further investing in our team and in strategic acquisitions similar to our recent acquisition of Meerkat,” said Paulo Alencastro, Managing Director at Acesso Digital.
