Alice, a Brazilian healthtech, raised $127M in Series C funding led by SoftBank. The funding is the largest round raised by a healthtech in Latin America to date.
Alice is a B2B healthtech platform offering digital health services to over 6,000 corporate employees across Brazil. COVID-19 revealed the gaps in Brazil’s health infrastructure, with less than 25% of Brazilians with access to private healthcare. Alice is working to improve access to healthcare services as well as the quality of these services.
“This funding round shows that we are on the right path of thinking about health management with a focus on long-term results, without looking for shortcuts,” said André Florence, co-founder and CEO.
The startup already partners with 10 hospitals and 200 labs to provide the best services to customers.
Existing investors Kaszek Ventures and ThornTree Capital Partners joined the round. New investors Globo Ventures, G Squared, StepStone, and Allen & Company LLC also participated.
The startup will use the new funding to further develop its technology and expand its product offering.
