AlphaCredit closes $100M equity funding round led by SoftBank

LatAm ListAlphaCredit, a Mexican fintech, raises approximately $100M (MXN$2.4B) in an equity funding round led by SoftBank’s Latin America Innovation Fund.

AlphaCredit provides financial solutions and consumer lending to the employees, retirees, freelance workers, and SMEs across Mexico and Colombia who are otherwise underserved by traditional banks. Through AXS, Check, Alcanza Capital, and Bontu, clients can access digital financial services and credit loans.

“We are committed to financial inclusion in Latin America and this equity investment provides us the opportunity to solve the core problem of inclusive growth,” said Augusto Álvarez, co-founder and co-CEO of AlphaCredit.

The funding will enable AlphaCredit to continue expanding across the region as the company seeks to be a leading fintech platform in Latin America.
