LatAm List – Amazon is reportedly shopping for property to build a new distribution center in Queretaro, Mexico. This center would be the fourth such building that Amazon would operate in Mexico.
Amazon wants to build a presence in Queretaro to try to capture a part of the growing e-commerce industry in Latin America’s second biggest economy. This move would allow the e-commerce giant to take a step outside of Mexico City and reach other parts of the country.
Amazon is betting on Mexico becoming a significant driver of Latin America’s growing e-commerce industry. While Amazon publicly noted their interest in building a fourth center, the location remains under speculation until the company releases further information.
