The Argentine startup Emi Labs raised an $11M Series A funding round led by Merus Capital and Koshla Ventures.
Emi Labs is a tech startup that uses AI technology to help companies optimize their recruitment processes. The software helps companies make hires at a faster rate through automated communication with candidates to fast-track the recruitment process.
Argentine startup Emi Labs is a 2019 Winter Y Combinator cohort graduate. During the global pandemic in 2020, the company found that it was well-positioned to support businesses through the challenges faced by remote work.
“The pandemic created challenges in the general world of recruitment. It opened the eyes of many companies who began to consider using technology for their recruitment processes instead,” said Mateo Cavasotto, founder and CEO of the company.
In 2021, Emi Labs helped clients hire over 20,000 employees. The company works with leading companies in Latin America such as Walmart, Danone, CEMEX, and Farmacias del Ahorro.
With the new funding, the startup now plans to double its company headcount in the next 12 months. There will be new hires in sales, marketing, engineering, and product.
