LatamList – Astella Investimentos invested an undisclosed amount in Livance, a Brazilian office-sharing company for health-care professionals.
Livance is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) startup that provides an alternative to fixed cost rates of consulting rooms. The company has clinics in five different neighborhoods of Sao Paulo, available to healthcare professionals. The clinics are pay-per-use which allows professionals to save money on rental costs.
The service also includes personalized online appointment scheduling, and a telephone and WhatsApp contact number for Livance assistance. The cost of the rooms is $0.18 (R$1) per minute, plus a monthly subscription of $44 (R$236).
āIn addition to simplifying the routine of doctors and other professionals, the solution turns what would be fixed costs in a private practice – for example, rent, secretary, cleaning, insurance and maintenance – into variable costs. It also facilitates the analysis of service profitability,ā said Claudio Mifano, CEO of Livance.
Livance currently serves 1,100 professionals across 40 medical specialties. The startup will use the funding to further develop its technology, as well as open two more clinics by the end of the year.
