Atomchat raises $3.15M for web chat services

AtomChat, a SaaS startup, raised a $3.15M funding round led by Mucker Capital. Techstars also contributed to the round.

AtomChat is an online chat software for sales companies. The startup uses conversational AI software to create more asynchronous customer messaging in WhatsApp.

The Panama-based company was launched in 2019 by Erick Holmann and Rene Mouynes who have more than 15 years of experience in telecommunications and sales processes in Latin America. AtomChat is their third startup.

“(Chat) Automation is what everyone wants, but needs to be more focused on customer services and the big gap is on the human side. Customers want more one-on-one time and assisted buying,” said Holmann.

With the AtomChat software, some companies have seen their sales triple within just two months thanks to better customer service.

The startup plans to use the new capital to further develop its technology and support the rapid growth of the platform.

“We’re just getting started. We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel for sales teams, but enable them to handle conversations in a more efficient manner,” Holmann concluded.
