LatamList – Pipo Saude, a Brazilian healthtech, raised a $20M Series A round led by Thrive Capital. Other investors included Atlantico, Monashees, Kaszek, OneVC, and various angel investors.
Pipo Saude is a digital healthcare platform that sells and manages benefits and provides companies with a healthcare navigation platform for their employees.
The healthtech raised a $4.6M seed round in June 2020 to expand its Brazil operations, and now serves over 100 corporate clients and around 15,000 individuals.
“COVID-19 has fast-forwarded the digital transformation of the healthcare system everywhere, but even more so in a place like Brazil that was a few years behind the US when it came to technology in the health space,” said Manoela Mitchell, co-founder and CEO.
The platform uses HMO and PPO integrations to fast track the onboarding process for new companies, reducing enrolling time from a typical 10 days to “less than an hour”. Among Pipo Saude’s clients are various Brazilian unicorns MadeiraMadeira, Buser, and Funcional Health Tech.
With the new funding, the platform will continue to develop the platform’s technology, make new hires, and launch a new digital product.
