LatamList – Emptor, an automated identity check service, announced a partnership with Didi, as the global ride-sharing service expands into Peru.
Emptor is the leading background check startup in Latin America. The company provides automated, accurate background checks and identity validation for businesses across Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, and Costa Rica.
Emptor’s automated background check and risk validation services have enabled Didi to scale operations quickly since the companies first started working together in 2018. The Emptor software also improves the safety and accuracy of driver onboarding by flagging applications associated with a criminal record.
As Didi expands across Peru, Emptor will help to validate the new Certiadulto certificate, launched by the Peruvian Minister of Labor and Employment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The certificate enables Peruvians to easily verify themselves for employment under the new rules of the pandemic.
This partnership with Didi increases Emptor’s portfolio which includes major partnerships with Cornershop, Kavak, Rappi, and Beat.
Emptor’s services will be paramount for Didi as the ridesharing app seeks to grow its fleet in the country as part of the expansion in Latin America.
