LatAm List – FestaLab, a Brazilian events planning platform, raised $1.5M (R$7.5M) from Canary, Atlantico, Big Bets, and other angel investors including Renato Freitas, co-founder of 99, and André Narciso, CEO of Quero Educacão.
FestaLab is an online platform that makes party planning easier by providing helpful tools such as digital invitations that can be sent via WhatsApp, Facebook, or email. The startup received 200,000 customers per month at the end of 2019 and helped organize 120,000 weddings.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the startup has adapted new ways of socially distant celebrating. Events can now be held virtually through an integrated video call hosted by Whereby.
FestaLab will use the funding to continue expanding the company and developing its platform.
