Fintech Tribal partners with Visa to offer corporate credit cards across LatAm

The fintech Tribal announced a new partnership with Visa to support its corporate credit card services in Latin America.

Tribal is a B2B payments platform that provides financing solutions to Latin American and Caribbean SMEs. The platform currently operates in Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and recently Brazil.

Tribal and Visa launched Visa-flagged credit cards for local business last year, and will now build on that foundation.

“It is important to have an alliance across Latin America,” said Sonia Michaca, Tribal’s Latin American regional manager. “We decided to close a partnership with Visa to have their support in all the countries where we are present.”

This is the first partnership for fintech Tribal in Latin America.

“The opportunity to work with SMEs is huge across Latin America. With Visa, we plan to take advantage of this potential and increase companies’ access to our products,” added Michaca.

Tribal aims to continue to support the growth of SMEs and support entrepreneurs who still don’t have access to credit. With Visa, Tribal will be more able to provide financing solutions and promote all-digital payments to improve the financial flexibility of these SMEs.

The fintech Tribal expects to continue expanding in 2022. Already local customers have access to the Visa beta card in Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Panama.
